Matt Allworth BSc(vet) Hons, BVSc Hons
I’m a companion animal vet, registered in NSW and Victoria, but mostly servicing the local community around Byron Bay, Australia. I have consulted in both clinical and industry settings, servicing pharmaceutical and pet food sectors, and worked in tertiary institutions, teaching veterinary pharmacology and serving on animal care and ethics committees. More recently I volunteered on a street-dog aid project in Indonesia. For more information see the Bio, and My personal approach to medicine.
Availability
I’m available for consultation by phone, online, house-call, or during random street, gym and beach encounters. I intermittently work as a locum at the following hospitals on the NSW Northern Rivers :
- Mobile . . . . . . . . . . . 0414 227 123
- Ballina . . . . . . . . . . . (02) 6686 4889
- Billinudgel . . . . . . (02) 6680 3480
If not able to offer immediate personal attention, I’m happy to discuss your pet’s problem and where best to seek help, either locally or from specialists further afield. Some patients require diagnostic and treatment facilities beyond those available in the house-call setting. I’m able to offer such services when consulting at the practices above.
